Nestles Kasambuhay Habambuhay To Be

For its 100th year anniversary in the country, Nestlé Philippines, in cooperation with Cinema One, unveiled “Kasambuhay, Habambuhay" Short Film Anthology featuring 10 short films in 100 minutes.

The films highlight the values embodied by each of the company's pillar brands.

The Gold Carpet premiere of the anthology was held recently at Rockwell Tent in Makati City.

“This relationship with the Filipino consumers, anchored on the quality of our brands and the role that these much loved brands have played in helping nurture and nourish Filipino families, is what led us to our centennial theme 'Kasambuhay, Habambuhay',” said Nestlé Philippines CEO and Chairman John Miller.

The films feature a Nestlé brand while showcasing creative Filipino filmmaking talent. The short films were shown for free last weekend at selected SM Cinemas like SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM Rosales, SM Cebu and SM Davao.

The 10 short films are: “The Howl and The Fussyket,” “Unplugged,” “Silup,” “Isang Tasang Pangarap,” “Sali Salita,” “Oh! Pa Ra Sa Ta U Wa Yeah,” “Downtown,” “Tingala sa Baba,” “Cooking Mo, Cooking Ko” and “Sign Seeker.”

What makes the films special is the participation of acclaimed actors such as Gloria Romero, Eddie Garcia, John Lloyd Cruz, Sid Lucero, Marvin Agustin and Eugene Domingo.

The films were directed by Nestle TV commercial directors.

The Gold Carpet premiere was star-studded as most sought after Kapamilya stars Jake Cuenca, Mariel Rodriguez, Toni Gonzaga, Melissa Ricks, Luis Manzano, Bianca Gonzales, Kaye Abad and Rich Hardin were present. Juddah Paolo was the emcee during the program.

Among the Gold Carpet guests were Cristalle Belo Henares, Valerie Bariou, Onemig Bondoc, Rima Ostwani, Anton Barretto, Tessa Alindogan, Jenny Yrasuegui, Reshma Chulani, Ana Lopez, Shamayne Skelly and ABS-CBN's Philip Cu-Unjieng.

The "Kasambuhay, Habambuhay" Short Film Anthology is just one of the many ways Nestlé celebrates its centennial with the Filipino people.

Recently, Nestlé launched a 90-second centennial TV commercial that features one of the many Kasambuhay stories.

The commercial's music is the popular OPM song titled "Pag-ibig (Love)" written and composed by APO Hiking Society member Danny Javier.

The "Kasambuhay, Habambuhay" short films will be shown again on Cinema One (SkyCable Channel 56) this July 17 at 8 p.m. and July 23 at 9 p.m.
